IV Conscious Sedation

IV Sedation

Medications are administered through an intravenous line (I.V.). The patient relaxes and usually falls asleep (Twilight Sleep) and is completely unaware of the procedure being provided. The medications are chosen and adjusted for each specific patient. Vital signs are closely monitored throughout the procedure.

A patient may choose intravenous anesthesia for simple procedures, depending on their level of anxiety. Most people having their wisdom teeth removed or a dental implant placed will choose intravenous anesthesia.

Dental Implants

Dental Implants

Dr. England was awarded the Presidential Award at the Midwest Implant Institute! A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that is placed into your jaw to hold a replacement tooth or bridge. A crown is then placed on the tooth (an abutment is used). Dental implants may be an option for people who have lost a tooth or teeth due to periodontal disease, an injury, or some other reason. Dental implants can replace a single tooth or several teeth. If you are missing all of your teeth, an implant-supported full denture can replace them. Dental implants have the highest success rate of ANY implanted surgical device.

Periodontal (Gum and Bone) Procedures

Periodontal disease is a disease that causes all the support structures of the tooth to fail. The teeth become loose, shift and eventually have to be extracted. Additionally, the pathogens (bacteria) enter the bloodstream and can affect the rest of the body. This disease is painless in its initial and moderate stages, so many people do not know that they have “gum” disease.

We provide treatment for periodontal disease (also known as gingivitis, periodontitis, “Vincent’s disease”, pyorrhea, trench mouth, or ANUG “Acute Necrotizing Ulcerating Gingivitis”). Services range from Scaling and Root Planing (also known as a “deep cleaning”) to periodontal surgery.

Aesthetic Dental Options

DenturesWe take great care with our denture patients. We understand that this is a tough and emotional time for you, and you will be treated with dignity and kindness. After we design a custom denture or partial denture for you, we will send our design to a local lab for fabrication.

Implant-Supported Full Dentures and Implant-Supported Partial Dentures

Implant-Supported Full and Partial DenturesDental implants are used to stabilize dentures to keep the denture in place and allow you to go about your daily life with confidence. This is a minimally invasive procedure. The use of dental implants to stabilize dentures has proven to be successful for many people. Dental implants prevent slipping dentures, and allows you to eat the foods that you love. Speech is improved and this denture is much more comfortable.
